Responsibility
- Oversee and coordinate all importation activities, including documentation, customs clearance, and compliance with local and international regulations.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency for construction projects from planning to completion.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage warehouse operations to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Prepare and submit accurate reports on logistics performance, budget adherence, and risk assessments to senior management.
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to secure favorable terms and reduce operational costs.
- Resolve logistics-related issues proactively, minimizing delays and ensuring project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics supervision, with at least 2 years in construction or heavy equipment importation.
- In-depth knowledge of international shipping, customs procedures, and trade compliance (e.g., HS codes, import/export laws).
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English; knowledge of Indonesian or other regional languages is a plus.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
- Certifications in logistics (e.g., CSCP, CLTD) or project management (e.g., PMP) are highly advantageous.
