Join San Miguel Foods as a Route Planner and play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain operations across Bali. This position is at the heart of synchronizing our hatchery, live production, processing, warehousing, and physical distribution networks to ensure seamless, cost-effective logistics.
As a key member of our logistics team, you will design and implement efficient routing strategies that enhance delivery timelines, reduce operational costs, and improve overall supply chain resilience. Responsibility
- Develop and optimize daily, weekly, and monthly delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize transportation costs.
- Collaborate with hatchery, processing, and warehousing teams to align supply with demand and distribution schedules.
- Utilize route planning software (e.g., Google Maps API, Route4Me, or similar) to analyze traffic patterns, delivery windows, and vehicle capacities.
- Monitor and adjust routes in real-time to account for traffic delays, weather conditions, or urgent delivery requests.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery times, fuel consumption, and vehicle utilization to identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to ensure seamless integration of external fleets into our distribution network.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for route adjustments and present recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with local transportation regulations and company safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in route planning, logistics coordination, or supply chain optimization.
- Proficiency in route optimization tools (e.g., Google Maps, Route4Me, OptimoRoute) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex logistics data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and telematics software is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Indonesian transportation regulations and local geography (Bali region) is advantageous.
