Responsibility
- Oversee the transportation and distribution of livestock, eggs, and related products to ensure timely and safe delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to optimize logistics operations and reduce costs.
- Monitor inventory levels and storage conditions to maintain product quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and meet business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to transportation and storage of agricultural products.
- Manage logistics documentation, including shipping records, invoices, and delivery confirmations.
- Resolve any logistics-related issues or delays promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to forecast demand and plan logistics accordingly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, preferably in the agricultural or food industry.
- Strong knowledge of logistics software and tools for tracking shipments and managing inventory.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills to handle complex logistics challenges.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to liaise with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with local and international regulations governing the transportation of livestock and perishable goods.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to oversee logistics operations in different locations.
