Responsibility
- Prepare and submit accurate customs declarations, ensuring compliance with local and international trade regulations.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth import/export processes.
- Monitor shipment statuses, track documentation, and resolve discrepancies or delays proactively.
- Maintain organized records of customs entries, invoices, and related documentation for audits and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams (warehouse, procurement, finance) to align logistics activities with business objectives.
- Stay updated on changes in customs laws, tariffs, and trade agreements to ensure adherence to current standards.
- Optimize logistics routes and methods to reduce costs and improve delivery timelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving logistics-related issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, customs clearance, or freight forwarding (preferably in international trade).
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, HS codes, and import/export documentation (e.g., Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice).
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal); additional language skills (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin) are a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Certification in customs compliance (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist) is highly advantageous.
