Responsibility
- Develop and implement comprehensive local economic development (LED) plans and strategies.
- Identify, attract, and facilitate potential local and foreign investments to the municipality.
- Conduct economic research and analysis to identify growth opportunities and market trends.
- Coordinate with local business chambers, cooperatives, and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) to foster growth.
- Prepare and present investment briefings, prospectuses, and project proposals for potential stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of economic projects to ensure alignment with LGU development goals.
- Advise municipal leadership on policy matters related to business regulation and economic incentives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Public Administration, Business Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in economic development, investment promotion, or government administration.
- Strong knowledge of local government code, business permit processes, and public-private partnership (PPP) frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and technical report writing.
- Proven ability to network and build sustainable relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- High integrity, leadership aptitude, and commitment to public service excellence.
