Responsibility
- Process and manage student loan applications, disbursements, and repayments in accordance with university and governmental guidelines.
- Administer scholarship programs, including eligibility assessments, award notifications, and fund disbursements.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all financial aid transactions and student accounts.
- Provide clear, timely guidance to students and parents regarding loan options, scholarship opportunities, and financial planning.
- Collaborate with the finance, admissions, and academic departments to ensure seamless coordination of financial aid services.
- Monitor and report on the status of loans and scholarships, identifying trends and recommending process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and university policies governing financial aid.
- Assist in the preparation of financial aid budgets, forecasts, and annual reports for university leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial aid, loan administration, or scholarship management, preferably in an educational institution.
- Strong knowledge of financial aid systems, loan servicing, and scholarship administration.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and financial management software.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Familiarity with Malaysian higher education financial aid regulations is a plus.
