Responsibility
- Coordinate all aspects of liver transplant procedures, including pre-transplant evaluations, donor matching, and post-operative care planning.
- Liaise with surgical teams, nurses, social workers, and external healthcare providers to ensure timely and efficient transplant processes.
- Educate patients and families on transplant procedures, risks, benefits, and post-transplant care requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the medical team and stakeholders.
- Organize and facilitate multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
- Provide emotional and logistical support to patients and families throughout the transplant journey.
- Stay current with advancements in transplant medicine and incorporate best practices into coordination efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in transplant coordination are a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare coordination, preferably in transplant services or critical care.
- Strong knowledge of liver transplant processes, including medical, ethical, and logistical considerations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in medical software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin) are advantageous.
