Responsibility
- Develop, optimize, and scale lithium-ion battery manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
- Design and implement process improvements using data-driven analysis and lean manufacturing principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Production) to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and methodologies.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production line performance, identifying bottlenecks and proposing actionable solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, UL, IEC) and internal quality control protocols for battery safety and reliability.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for process deviations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Support the transition of prototypes from R&D to mass production, including pilot testing and validation.
- Document and maintain process specifications, work instructions, and technical reports for audit and training purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing, process engineering, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of battery chemistry, cell assembly, and testing protocols (e.g., formation, aging, cycle testing).
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with process simulation tools (e.g., COMSOL, MATLAB) and data analysis software (Python, Excel).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other relevant quality management systems.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multicultural teams.
