Responsibility
- Prepare and organize ingredients for daily service, ensuring all stations are fully stocked and ready for peak hours.
- Cook and plate menu items according to standardized recipes, maintaining consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service, including coordinating with the sous chef and other line cooks.
- Monitor food quality and freshness, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, including cleaning workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Follow inventory management procedures, including tracking ingredient usage and minimizing waste.
- Adapt to menu changes and special requests, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn new techniques.
- Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen culture, supporting teammates and upholding company values.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or hotel kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and food safety practices (HACCP certification is a plus).
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, managing multiple tasks efficiently during busy service periods.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (up to 20-25 kg), and work in a hot kitchen environment.
- Familiarity with international cuisines and a passion for learning new culinary trends.
- Basic understanding of English (written and verbal) to follow instructions and communicate with the team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the restaurantâs schedule.
