Responsibility
- Prepare and organize ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and marinating, while adhering to food safety standards.
- Cook menu items to exact specifications, ensuring consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation.
- Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to the kitchen manager to avoid shortages.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and efficient workstation in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely order fulfillment during peak service hours.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Assist in the development of new dishes and seasonal menu updates under the guidance of the head chef.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including grills, ovens, and fryers, while performing routine maintenance checks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or similar role in a restaurant or hotel kitchen (1+ years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices (HACCP or equivalent certification is a plus).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (up to 25 kg), and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Creativity and a passion for culinary arts, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes.
- Basic English proficiency; knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is an advantage.
