Responsibility
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
- Operate kitchen equipment (e.g., grills, fryers, ovens) safely and efficiently to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to coordinate food preparation, plating, and timing for service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and minimizing food waste.
- Adapt to high-pressure situations during peak service hours while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Follow portion control guidelines to ensure cost-effective food preparation.
- Contribute to menu development and specials by sharing creative ideas and feedback.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a professional kitchen.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices (e.g., HACCP, local health regulations).
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, including grilling, sautĂŠing, frying, and plating.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and adapt to menu changes or special requests.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills to handle multiple orders during peak hours.
- Team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
- Basic English proficiency is a plus for international work environments.
