Responsibility
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards.
- Cook menu items to exact specifications, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
- Monitor food inventory and assist in stock rotation to minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely order fulfillment during peak hours.
- Follow standardized recipes and special dietary instructions (e.g., allergies, vegan/vegetarian requests).
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, checking for quality and accuracy.
- Contribute to menu development and provide feedback on dish improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant or hotel kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP is a plus).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Culinary degree or certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
