Responsibility

  • Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards.
  • Cook menu items to exact specifications, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Monitor food inventory and assist in stock rotation to minimize waste.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely order fulfillment during peak hours.
  • Follow standardized recipes and special dietary instructions (e.g., allergies, vegan/vegetarian requests).
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, checking for quality and accuracy.
  • Contribute to menu development and provide feedback on dish improvements.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant or hotel kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP is a plus).
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
