Responsibility
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Life/Asia applications using COBOL/400, DB2/400, and AS/400.
- Design and implement efficient database solutions using DB2/400 for optimal performance.
- Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions on time.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in legacy systems to ensure reliability.
- Write and maintain technical documentation for system processes and workflows.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices for legacy system modernization.
- Work closely with business analysts to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Support system integrations and data migration projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in COBOL/400, DB2/400, and AS/400 development.
- Strong understanding of IBM iSeries (AS/400) environments and legacy system architectures.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative development tools.
- Proficiency in SQL, RPG, and CL programming is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
