Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions for patients across all age groups.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and families on communication strategies, home exercises, and adaptive techniques.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed for optimal outcomes.
- Utilize assistive technologies (e.g., AAC devices) to support non-verbal or severely impaired patients.
- Stay current with advancements in speech therapy by attending workshops, training, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās or Masterās degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid license to practice as a Speech Therapist in Indonesia (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation, pediatric, or geriatric settings preferred.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Indonesian or Balinese is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Experience with dysphagia management, aphasia therapy, and pediatric speech disorders.
- Familiarity with standardized assessment tools (e.g., BDAE, WAB, PEDI).
- Commitment to ethical practice and patient-centered care.
