Responsibility
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including prescription dispensing, inventory management, and patient counseling.
- Ensure compliance with local and national pharmaceutical regulations, policies, and safety standards.
- Verify and process prescription orders with accuracy, checking for drug interactions, allergies, and dosage correctness.
- Provide professional pharmaceutical advice to patients, healthcare providers, and staff regarding medication use, side effects, and alternatives.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date pharmacy records, including patient profiles, medication logs, and controlled substance documentation.
- Collaborate with medical teams to review and optimize medication therapies for improved patient care.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing medications while minimizing waste and ensuring stock availability.
- Lead or assist in training and supervising pharmacy technicians and support staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Valid Pharmacist License issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in the Philippines.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting (fresh graduates with strong academic records may be considered).
- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical products, drug interactions, and therapeutic uses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively counsel patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to ensure medication safety and accuracy.
