Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and overall eye health.
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses, tailored to individual patient needs.
- Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as dry eye, glaucoma, and conjunctivitis, referring patients to specialists when necessary.
- Provide personalized eye care advice on topics like screen time management, UV protection, and preventive eye health.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment (e.g., autorefractors, tonometry devices) to ensure accurate and efficient assessments.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and healthcare professionals to co-manage patient care for complex cases.
- Maintain detailed patient records in compliance with clinical standards and data protection regulations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies in optometry to deliver state-of-the-art care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in Optometry from an accredited institution.
- Valid optometry license (preferably with experience in clinical practice).
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in conducting eye exams, prescribing corrective lenses, and managing eye health conditions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Proficiency in using optometric equipment and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems.
- Knowledge of current eye care best practices and the ability to apply them in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English (additional languages, such as Indonesian or Mandarin, are a plus).
