Responsibility
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and overall eye health.
- Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia, and glaucoma.
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, including eyeglasses and contact lenses, tailored to patients' needs.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries, such as LASIK or cataract procedures.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices, including hygiene, nutrition, and preventive measures for maintaining optimal vision health.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Stay current with advancements in optometry by participating in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Optometry or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Valid optometry license to practice in Indonesia (SIP/SIK).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an Optometrist (fresh graduates with exceptional skills will be considered).
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment such as autorefractors, slit lamps, and tonometry devices.
- Strong knowledge of ocular diseases, refractive errors, and contact lens fitting techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or other languages is a plus.
