Responsibility
- Assist the Teacher Librarian in cataloging, organizing, and maintaining library resources, including books, digital media, and educational materials.
- Support students and staff in locating and accessing library materials, providing guidance on research and resource utilization.
- Manage the circulation desk, including checking out and returning books, processing reservations, and handling fines or overdue notices.
- Coordinate the shelving and upkeep of library collections to ensure materials are easily accessible and well-maintained.
- Assist in planning and executing library programs, events, and workshops to promote literacy and engagement.
- Monitor and restock library supplies, ensuring a well-equipped and functional workspace for all users.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to align library resources with curriculum needs and classroom projects.
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions, inventory, and user interactions using library management systems.
Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Library Science, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a library, educational institution, or administrative support role is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
