Responsibility
- Assist library patrons in locating and accessing books, journals, and digital resources.
- Catalog and classify new library materials using established systems and software.
- Maintain an organized and tidy library environment, including shelving and arranging materials.
- Process check-ins and check-outs of library materials, ensuring accurate records.
- Provide basic technical support for library computers and digital resources.
- Assist in the planning and execution of library events, workshops, and promotional activities.
- Monitor library usage and report any issues or maintenance needs to the Library Manager.
- Support the development and implementation of library policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of six (6) months of relevant work experience in a library, educational institution, or similar environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including library management software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer service-oriented with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Basic knowledge of cataloging systems and library operations is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
