Responsibility
- Manage, organize, and catalog library collections, including both physical books and digital academic resources.
- Assist students and faculty in locating information and conducting academic research efficiently.
- Implement and maintain library management software to streamline borrowing, returning, and inventory tracking.
- Conduct regular library orientations and information literacy sessions for students.
- Oversee the maintenance of a conducive study environment, ensuring quiet and order within the facility.
- Stay updated with the latest educational resources and trends to suggest relevant acquisitions.
- Prepare periodic reports on library utilization, collection development, and budget management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science (BLIS) is required.
- Must be a Licensed Librarian (RA 9246).
- Proven experience in library operations, preferably within an academic or school setting.
- Strong knowledge of cataloging systems (DDC, AACR2, RDA) and library management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse student populations.
- High level of digital literacy, including proficiency in MS Office and library database systems.
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and efficient workflow management.
