Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and maintain Red Hat Linux servers and enterprise infrastructure solutions.
- Develop and optimize automation scripts (Bash, Perl, Python) to streamline system operations and reduce manual intervention.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues, including Java application debugging, to ensure minimal downtime.
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and security, implementing proactive measures to prevent outages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate infrastructure with application and network layers.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and incident reports for knowledge sharing.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including patch management and access controls.
- Provide Level 2 support for escalated technical issues, ensuring timely resolution.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Linux Infrastructure Engineer, with expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Perl, or Python for automation and system administration.
- Experience with Java debugging and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in managing and configuring web servers (Apache, Nginx), databases, and virtualization platforms.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls) and security protocols.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
