As a Legal Officer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to navigate the complexities of the renewable energy sector. Responsibility
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and compliance documents.
- Provide legal advice and support to internal teams on matters related to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Ensure compliance with local and international laws and regulations pertinent to the solar energy sector.
- Manage and mitigate legal risks by identifying potential issues and proposing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in legislation that may impact the company.
- Support the company in obtaining necessary permits, licenses, and certifications for solar energy projects.
- Assist in the resolution of legal disputes and provide guidance on litigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; a practicing certificate is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within the energy sector or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with the legal landscape in Singapore and Indonesia is highly desirable.
- Proficient in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
