Responsibility
- Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions in biotechnology and related disciplines at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Develop and update course curricula to align with industry standards and emerging trends in biotechnology.
- Conduct original research in biotechnology, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and secure external funding for projects.
- Supervise and mentor students in their thesis, research projects, and internships, fostering a culture of academic excellence.
- Collaborate with industry partners, government agencies, and other academic institutions to drive innovation and applied research.
- Participate in departmental and university-wide committees, contributing to academic governance and strategic planning.
- Engage in professional development activities, including conferences, workshops, and continuous learning in biotechnology.
- Promote the university’s biotechnology programs through outreach, public lectures, and community engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
- PhD in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, or a closely related field (Master’s degree considered for exceptional candidates with extensive experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the university level, with a strong track record in student mentorship.
- Proven research expertise demonstrated by publications in reputable journals, conference presentations, or granted patents.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) is a plus.
- Experience in securing research grants or industry collaborations is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with modern laboratory techniques, bioinformatics tools, or bioprocess engineering is advantageous.
