Responsibility
- Administer and process employee leave requests in compliance with US labor laws, including FMLA, CFRA, and other state-specific regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of leave balances, approvals, and denials, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Coordinate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure seamless processing of leave-related payments and benefits adjustments.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on leave policies, procedures, and eligibility requirements.
- Monitor and track leave trends, reporting anomalies or compliance risks to HR leadership.
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Serve as a liaison between employees, managers, and third-party benefits providers to resolve inquiries and issues.
- Stay updated on changes in US leave and benefits legislation, implementing necessary policy updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, with a focus on leave and benefits administration in a US context.
- In-depth knowledge of US employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leave regulations.
- Experience with HRIS or leave management software (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, UKG).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
