As a Lead ServiceNow Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow solutions that drive operational efficiency and digital transformation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact IT service management (ITSM), IT operations management (ITOM), and custom application solutions. Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end ServiceNow implementation, configuration, and customization for ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, or custom applications.
- Design and develop workflows, business rules, UI policies, ACLs, and integrations (REST/SOAP, MID Server, IntegrationHub).
- Mentor and guide junior ServiceNow developers and administrators, ensuring best practices and coding standards are followed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and propose ServiceNow solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and performance tuning to ensure optimal platform performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex ServiceNow issues, including script errors, database locks, and integration failures.
- Develop and maintain custom applications, scripts (JavaScript, Glide API), and reports/dashboards using ServiceNow tools.
- Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features, releases, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer/Engineer, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- ServiceNow Certification (CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM, CIS-ITOM, or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Proficient in ServiceNow scripting (Client/Server-side JavaScript, Glide API, GlideRecord, GlideForm).
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, IntegrationHub, Flow Designer).
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and ServiceNow best practices for ITSM, ITOM, or HRSD.
- Ability to work independently in a night shift schedule (aligning with global client time zones).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
