Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end research projects focused on the synthesis and modification of natural polymers and carbohydrates.
- Conduct advanced rheological characterization to optimize polymer melt flow and solid-state mechanical properties.
- Design and execute laboratory-scale experiments to transition lab-bench chemistry to pilot-scale production.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate bio-based additives into existing polymer matrices.
- Analyze complex data sets to drive material performance improvements and sustainability benchmarking.
- Manage laboratory equipment, safety protocols, and cross-functional project documentation.
- Mentor junior researchers and provide technical guidance on sustainable chemistry best practices.
Qualifications
- PhD in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of post-doctoral or industrial experience in polymer synthesis and rheology.
- Expertise in carbohydrate chemistry and bio-based material development.
- Proven proficiency with advanced rheometry (DSR, ARES) and material characterization (DSC, TGA, FTIR).
- Strong track record of peer-reviewed publications or patents in sustainable materials.
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in statistical software for experimental design (DoE).
- Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to work effectively in a high-compliance industrial environment.
