Responsibility
- Lead the development of piping specifications, layouts, and support systems based on Process P&IDs and equipment lists.
- Collaborate with process engineers to ensure piping designs align with operational and safety requirements.
- Oversee the creation of piping and equipment arrangement drawings using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, or Revit).
- Conduct stress analysis and ensure compliance with ASME, ANSI, and other relevant standards.
- Coordinate with construction teams to resolve on-site piping installation challenges.
- Review and approve vendor drawings, material specifications, and fabrication processes.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and draftsmen, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure all piping designs adhere to GMP, FDA, and other regulatory guidelines for Life Sciences facilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in piping design and engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in Life Sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries.
- Proficiency in piping design software (AutoCAD, PDMS, Revit, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, ANSI standards, and regulatory requirements for Life Sciences facilities.
- Experience with piping stress analysis and support design.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
