Responsibility
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of ANZ’s network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to solution designers and junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver network solutions for projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, policies, and procedures, to ensure knowledge sharing and operational efficiency.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending upgrades and improvements to enhance network capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements to protect ANZ’s network infrastructure.
- Act as a subject matter expert for network-related incidents, providing escalation support and driving root cause analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior technical role.
- Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level networks, including LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and security best practices.
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and hybrid network architectures is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
