Responsibility
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data engineering solutions to support IoT and operational analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IoT devices and sensors into airport infrastructure for real-time monitoring and optimization.
- Develop and manage data pipelines, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of data flows.
- Oversee the collection, processing, and analysis of large datasets to derive actionable insights for airport operations.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in data governance, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains through data-driven solutions.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies in data engineering, IoT, and AI to recommend strategic enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on IoT, big data, or cloud-based solutions.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Strong knowledge of IoT protocols, edge computing, and real-time data processing technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications in data engineering, cloud computing, or IoT are a plus.
