Responsibility
- Lead the mechanical design and engineering of data centre cooling systems, including HVAC, chilled water, and air handling units.
- Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and BIM models to ensure compliance with industry standards (ASHRAE, Uptime Institute).
- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and project managers to integrate mechanical systems into overall data centre design.
- Conduct thermal and CFD analyses to optimize energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Oversee vendor selection, procurement, and commissioning of mechanical equipment for data centre projects.
- Ensure adherence to safety, sustainability, and regulatory requirements in all mechanical designs.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to project teams.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies in data centre cooling (e.g., liquid cooling, free cooling) and recommend innovations.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; PE (Professional Engineer) license is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years specializing in data centre design.
- Proven expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for mission-critical facilities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software; experience with CFD tools (e.g., ANSYS, 6SigmaDC) is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, LEED).
- Excellent project management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working in Southeast Asia or tropical climates is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is a bonus.
