Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for data centers, including power distribution, backup systems, UPS, and switchgear.
- Oversee feasibility studies, load calculations, and short-circuit analysis to ensure compliance with local and international standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, NFPA).
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and IT teams to integrate electrical infrastructure with overall data center design.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Conduct site inspections and commissioning to verify system performance, safety, and compliance.
- Develop sustainable and energy-efficient solutions, including renewable energy integration and power management systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and client presentations to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; PE (Professional Engineer) license is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in data center design or mission-critical facilities.
- Proven expertise in medium/high-voltage systems, power distribution, and emergency power systems (generators, UPS, ATS).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, or SKM PowerTools for electrical design and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (NEC, IEC, NFPA 70, NFPA 70E).
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and collaborative design tools.
- Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with sustainability certifications (LEED, Green Mark) is advantageous.
