Responsibility
- Sort, weigh, and load soiled linens, towels, and uniforms into washing machines and dryers, following established procedures for fabric care and hygiene.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including industrial washers, dryers, ironers, and folding machines, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Inspect all laundered items for stains, tears, or damage, and re-wash or report issues as necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Fold, hang, and organize clean linens and garments according to hotel specifications, preparing them for distribution to guest rooms and departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free laundry area, including proper storage of chemicals and supplies.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking linen usage, reporting shortages, and coordinating with the housekeeping team for replenishment.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with hotel and local regulations.
- Provide support to other housekeeping staff during peak periods or special events as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in laundry operations, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Basic knowledge of fabric care, stain removal techniques, and laundry chemicals.
- Ability to operate industrial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to lift, carry, and move heavy loads (up to 20-25 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required by the hotel’s operational needs.
- Prior experience in a luxury hotel or resort is a plus.
