Responsibility
- Prepare and cook authentic Korean dishes, adhering to traditional recipes and modern culinary techniques.
- Develop and refine menu items to align with seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control across all dishes.
- Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team.
- Source high-quality ingredients, with a focus on fresh, local, and imported Korean specialty items.
- Monitor food costs and minimize waste while maintaining profitability.
- Collaborate with the F&B team to create promotional events and themed dining experiences.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Korean Cuisine Chef or in a similar role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or resort.
- Proven expertise in preparing a wide range of Korean dishes, including fermented foods, grilled meats, and hot pots.
- Strong knowledge of Korean ingredients, cooking methods, and cultural culinary traditions.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP) is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on precision and efficiency.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Korean or Indonesian is advantageous.
