Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive training programs for kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating standards.
- Develop and update training materials, including manuals, videos, and hands-on demonstrations.
- Monitor and evaluate trainee progress, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations in all kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to refine recipes, improve efficiency, and maintain consistency in dish quality.
- Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in kitchen workflow, time management, and teamwork.
- Assist in onboarding new hires, familiarizing them with company policies, kitchen equipment, and workflows.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and industry best practices to continuously enhance training programs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a training or supervisory role.
- Proven expertise in Asian cuisine, particularly Japanese or fusion dishes (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and motivate staff.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Passion for mentoring and developing talent in the culinary arts.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian or Japanese is advantageous.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules, including weekends and holidays.
