Responsibility
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, equipment, and utensils.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the proper storage and organization of kitchen supplies, ingredients, and equipment.
- Support the culinary team by preparing basic ingredients and ensuring timely availability of clean utensils.
- Follow strict hygiene and food safety protocols to comply with health regulations.
- Assist in waste management and recycling procedures to promote sustainability.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during peak hours.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen steward or similar role in hospitality is preferred.
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of English or Indonesian is an advantage.
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
