Responsibility

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, including equipment, utensils, and storage spaces.
  • Operate and sanitize dishwashing machines and manual washing stations according to health regulations.
  • Assist in waste management, including proper segregation and disposal of kitchen waste.
  • Support kitchen staff by preparing ingredients, organizing supplies, and restocking as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain an efficient workflow during peak service hours.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
  • Uphold Sodexo’s sustainability initiatives by minimizing water and energy waste.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food safety is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within hospitality, restaurants, or catering services.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, OSHA, or local food safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
  • Team player with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Basic English proficiency; additional languages are advantageous.
