Responsibility
- Operate and maintain industrial dishwashing equipment to ensure all kitchenware, utensils, and glassware are cleaned to the highest hygiene standards.
- Sort and pre-wash soiled items, removing food waste and debris before loading into dishwashers.
- Inspect cleaned items for spotlessness and proper sanitization, re-washing as necessary.
- Organize and store clean dishes, pots, and equipment in designated areas for easy access by kitchen staff.
- Assist with basic kitchen prep tasks, such as peeling vegetables or stocking supplies, as directed by supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and orderly dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and storage shelves.
- Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation protocols in compliance with local health regulations.
- Support the kitchen team during peak hours by bussing tables or assisting with miscellaneous tasks.
Qualifications
- No formal education required; on-the-job training provided.
- Previous experience in a dishwashing or kitchen steward role is a plus but not mandatory.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg (44 lbs).
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Basic understanding of English or Indonesian to follow instructions (multilingual candidates are a plus).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive attitude, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
