Responsibility

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients for efficient service.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to the kitchen supervisor to avoid shortages.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely order fulfillment during peak service hours.
  • Follow proper food storage and rotation practices to minimize waste and uphold freshness.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down kitchen stations before and after service shifts.
  • Adhere to workplace safety protocols, including proper handling of kitchen equipment and tools.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (e.g., HACCP principles).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move items up to 20–25 kg.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
  • Basic English proficiency is a plus for communication in multicultural teams.
