Responsibility

  • Assist senior chefs in the preparation and plating of pastry and dessert items, ensuring consistency in presentation and taste.
  • Follow standardized recipes and techniques to maintain the high-quality standards of Juna’s pastry offerings.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including mixers, ovens, and refrigeration units, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dessert concepts and seasonal menu items.
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated to minimize waste and maintain quality.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP guidelines, to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Assist in inventory management, including tracking pastry supplies and communicating needs to the kitchen supervisor.
  • Support the team during peak service hours, maintaining efficiency and professionalism under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Basic culinary or pastry training from a recognized institution or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a pastry or dessert section.
  • Strong passion for pastry arts and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions precisely and work efficiently as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long hours and work in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
