Responsibility

  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency in dish quality and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure fresh ingredients.
  • Support in training and guiding junior kitchen staff, fostering a team-oriented environment.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards as per hotel and local regulations.
  • Participate in daily mise en place setup and breakdown to ensure smooth service operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a hotel or fine dining setting.
  • Culinary diploma or certificate from a recognized institution is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and food safety practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy kitchen equipment.
