Responsibility
- Assist chefs in preparing ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring for daily orders.
- Cook and assemble simple dishes or components under the supervision of senior kitchen staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and properly storing utensils and equipment.
- Manage inventory by storing leftover ingredients, labeling containers, and ensuring freshness and food safety standards.
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to minimize waste and maintain consistency in food quality.
- Assist in receiving and unpacking food deliveries, checking for quality and accuracy.
- Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols to comply with health and safety regulations.
- Support the team during peak hours by expediting orders and ensuring timely service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus, but not requiredâtraining will be provided.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a positive attitude.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift up to 10-15 kg, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
- Fluency in basic English or Indonesian to understand instructions and communicate with colleagues.
