As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting chefs with various tasks. While our kitchen handles pork-based dishes, no tasting or consumption of pork is required for this position, making it suitable for candidates with dietary restrictions.

Responsibility
- Assist chefs with ingredient preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, meats, and other kitchen staples.
- Organize and maintain kitchen storage areas, ensuring all ingredients and supplies are properly labeled and stored.
- Support the cleaning and sanitization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations to uphold hygiene standards.
- Prepare basic components for Japanese dishes, such as rice, broths, and garnishes, under the guidance of senior staff.
- Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries, verifying quality and quantity of supplies.
- Follow food safety and handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain an efficient workflow during peak service hours.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the head chef or kitchen supervisor.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is a plus, but not required—training will be provided.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 20 kg).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness in the workspace.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- No dietary restrictions related to handling pork (though consumption is not required).
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
