Responsibility
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils in compliance with food safety standards.
- Support with dishwashing, pot cleaning, and general kitchen upkeep during and after service hours.
- Organize and stock ingredients, supplies, and inventory to ensure efficient workflow.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, checking for quality and quantity.
- Help with basic cooking tasks under supervision, such as stirring, mixing, or portioning.
- Dispose of waste and recycling according to established procedures.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene protocols to uphold workplace standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Helper or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation practices.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy items (up to 20-25 kg), and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is a plus.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a proactive approach to supporting kitchen staff.
