Responsibility
- Assist the kitchen team with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, including utensils, equipment, and workstations.
- Support stock handling by organizing inventory, restocking supplies, and rotating perishable items.
- Follow strict Halal food safety and hygiene standards to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in basic cooking tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen staff.
- Dispose of waste properly and assist with recycling efforts where applicable.
- Help with dishwashing and kitchen setup/cleanup before and after service hours.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices (Halal certification knowledge is a plus).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 20 kg).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions accurately.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with Halal dietary requirements is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Good communication skills in English (basic Indonesian is a plus).
- Flexibility to work 3-4 days per week, including weekends or evenings as needed.
