Responsibility
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
- Support the kitchen team by restocking supplies, organizing storage areas, and disposing of waste properly.
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment, such as mixers, slicers, and dishwashers, as directed.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service.
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation.
- Report any kitchen hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus but not required.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
