Responsibility
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in Vietnamese culinary techniques and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Rotate through various kitchen stations, including prep, cooking, and plating, to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare and present authentic Vietnamese dishes with attention to detail and consistency.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain kitchen efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Collaborate with the head chef to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to uphold kitchen standards.
- Participate in shift work, including weekends and holidays, as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with Vietnamese cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of Vietnamese cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
- Fluency in English or Bahasa Indonesia is preferred.
