Responsibility
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Vietnamese cooking techniques and SOP compliance.
- Rotate through kitchen stations (e.g., prep, wok, grilling) to maintain versatility and efficiency.
- Prepare and present authentic Vietnamese dishes with attention to detail and consistency.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist in ordering supplies, and minimize food waste.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop seasonal menus and special promotions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in Vietnamese or Asian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of Vietnamese culinary techniques, ingredients, and flavors.
- Proven leadership skills with experience supervising kitchen staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Bahasa Indonesia is a plus).
- Certification in food safety/hygiene (e.g., HACCP) is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
