Responsibility
- Prepare and organize ingredients (mise en place) according to daily requirements and recipes.
- Cook and assemble dishes following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory management, including tracking ingredient stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation during peak hours.
- Monitor food quality and consistency, making adjustments as needed to meet customer expectations.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and waste disposal procedures to minimize spoilage.
- Support the head chef in developing new menu items and improving existing recipes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is a plus, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 20 kg).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Passion for cooking and a keen eye for detail in food presentation.
- Familiarity with Indonesian cuisine or coffee shop operations is an advantage.
