Responsibility
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and marinating ingredients under chef supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support chefs during service by plating dishes, garnishing, and ensuring timely order fulfillment.
- Monitor and restock kitchen supplies, ingredients, and equipment to avoid shortages.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Operate kitchen machinery (e.g., mixers, grinders) safely and efficiently.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, checking for quality and freshness.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless communication between kitchen and service teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen or hospitality setting (resorts, hotels, or restaurants preferred).
- Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and early/late shifts.
- Familiarity with Indonesian and international cuisines is a plus.
- Basic English proficiency (spoken and written) for team coordination.
