Responsibility
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and marinating ingredients.
- Ensure all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are cleaned and sanitized according to food safety standards.
- Support the timely setup and breakdown of kitchen stations for service periods.
- Monitor and restock kitchen supplies and ingredients, notifying supervisors of low inventory levels.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to maintain consistency in food quality.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of perishable items.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food service environment (preferred but not required).
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a positive attitude.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools is a plus.
